Homeward Bound
In September of 2018 our lease on the building at 710 Main Street was not renewed. So my studio has been relocated to my home. Which is not a bad thing. It’s great to have my guitars and equipment here again. I’m playing more, and writing a lot more! And my turn table is hooked up and rocking! Everything is set up and ready to go.
Things sounds warmer here, I don’t know if it’s the wood panel walls or just the love inside the house, or the sunlight that pours through my windows. No more dark cold cement basement walls.
I know some people feel there’s a stigmata with “home studios” but, many great albums have been made in homes. Some examples, Beck- Odelay, Red Hot Chili Peppers- Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic, and Bruce Springsteen- Nebraska. The latter of which was recorded with a couple of SM57s and a 4 track (we have 57s and a Tascam 414). It all starts with a great performance. Here’s some more examples.
Home is where the heart is, and this studio is here at home ready to rock.
Here’s a few pics of the move! Thanks again to everyone who helped out!
