Mike M. –
A fun and creative tool for capturing audio with uniquely metallic analog distortion. Use it to get some dirty retro character in your next blues session by putting this next to your primary mic and then mixing a dash of it in on playback.
Take the extra step to dampen the body of the mic (we wrapped it in a heavy towel) so that the resonances can be tamed a bit, and you’ll be rewarded with a grungy dark harmonic sound. It doesn’t sound like anything else, and I’m stoked to have this creative analog tool as a secret weapon.
Unique sound, cheaper than most plugins, and most studios don’t have it.
